Empowering Communities for Health Equity and Equality

In a world where disparities and inequalities persist, the East African Community and Health Initiative stands as a beacon of hope in the Twin Cities metro areas and beyond. Our organization's vision is clear: to empower communities, motivate them to engage in issues that affect them, and educate them about their rights. We believe that every individual has the basic human right to be connected to their community and have access to essential resources.

Our mission is to transform the Twin Cities into an area that promotes diversity while advancing the health and social well-being of its inhabitants. How do we achieve this mission? Through a multifaceted approach that leverages advocacy, policy changes, education, engagement, empowerment, and capacity building.

One of our primary goals is to build a strong community and empower the youth by providing an array of resources, collaborations, advocacy efforts, tools, services, and programs. We also recognize the importance of culturally relevant health education in our communities. By forging strategic partnerships with allied community organizations, healthcare operators, government institutions, and policymakers, we aim to bring about systemic changes that will benefit everyone.
